Hormone Production: 

The thyroid gland produces two main hormones: tri-iodothyronine (T3) and thyroxine (T4). These hormones are essential for maintaining the body's metabolism, growth, development, and energy levels. The production and release of T3 and T4 are controlled by the pituitary gland, a tiny gland in the brain that secretes thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH). Common Thyroid Disorders: 

Thyroid disorders can arise when there is an imbalance in the production or regulation of thyroid hormones. The two most prevalent thyroid disorders are:

Hypothyroidism: This occurs when the thyroid gland doesn't produce enough hormones. Symptoms may include fatigue, weight gain, cold intolerance, dry skin, constipation, depression, and memory problems.

Hyperthyroidism: This condition involves an overactive thyroid gland that produces excessive hormones. Symptoms may include weight loss, rapid heartbeat, nervousness, irritability, heat intolerance, increased perspiration, and tremors.
