Anatomy of the Spine: 

The spine is composed of vertebrae, which are separated by intervertebral discs. These discs act as shock absorbers, providing cushioning and flexibility to the spine. Each disc has a tough outer layer called the annulus fibrosus and a gel-like center called the nucleus pulposus.

Disc bulges can be caused by various factors, including age-related degeneration, trauma, or repetitive strain on the spine. When the outer layer of a disc weakens or tears, the gel-like material can push against it, resulting in a disc bulge. 

Symptoms:

This bulge may put pressure on nearby nerves, leading to symptoms such as:

• Localized or radiating pain in the neck or back, depending on the location of the bulging disc.

• Numbness or tingling sensation in the limbs.

• Muscle weakness or difficulty with fine motor skills.

• Pain aggravated by movements such as bending, lifting, or twisting.
